This was originally written as part of a larger piece on The Lord’s Prayer. I wanted to explore a word within a prayer we have all said a zillion times but rarely get to stop and consider. Some people have very positive relationship with the word Father; others struggle with memories, brokenness, and alienation. I wanted to give space to both kinds of experience and help people into constructive reflection as they entered Jesus’ teaching on prayer.
